Question Title

* 4. Terrace Rain Gardens help reduce stormwater runoff and improve water quality! Some terraces along Jenifer St. may be suitable for a terrace rain garden.  Eligible terraces should meet the following criteria: minimum area of 10’ X 15’ in a relatively flat, open space away from trees, utilities, and driveways.  If your terrace is eligible would you be interested in having a terrace rain garden installed with the project at a cost to you of $100?  Installation with the project would include all grading, the initial planting (several planting plan options are possible), and placement of mulch.  You can learn more about our Rain Garden program at: www.cityofmadison.com/TerraceRainGardens

Question Title

* 7. The City has received a request for additional traffic calming on Jenifer St.  The City has a general traffic calming process, but since this work could be coordinated with a reconstruction project, we will consider installing speed humps on Jenifer St., if there is interest from the neighborhood.  Locations of potential speed humps are shown on the preliminary plan on the project website. The approximate locations of speed humps would be just east of Walton Pl, at 1849/1850 Jenifer St., and just east of Russell St. Please note that Jenifer St. is the only street included with this project that would be considered for traffic calming as it is a thru street between Division and Riverside and is also a primary pedestrian and bicycle connection between Division St. and the ped/bike bridge over the Yahara River.  Are you supportive of the proposed speed humps on Jenifer St.?
